The UNIT-T UT501A is an accurate insulation resistance tester with several test voltages available which can be easily adjusted using a rotary dial on the front of the tester.

It has a large, clearly labelled test initiation button,  data hold function which stores data temporarily and it is possible to toggle the backlight on and off . A large and bright LCD screen is also integrated into the unit for easy measurement readings.

This insulation resistance tester is autoranging, giving it the ability to automatically choose the correct range for whatever is under test. The test voltages available are 100V, 250V, 500V and 1000V, which result in insulation resistance range starting from 0Ω up to a high point of 5.5GΩ (dependant on test voltage currently being used).

UT501A includes a low battery indicator, alarm light display and buzzer, high voltage indication, overload indication, auto discharge and an internal resistance testing function.
